- Mono-Act Competition -

A dramatic artist has complete independence to do whatever pleases him. All he needs is an Audience. Face-off is that kind of competition in which the contestants try to entertain the audience by showing off their skills in dramatics. Whatever they do, they do it to entertain people and convey their inward thoughts. If you share the same idea of expressing ones thoughts FACE OFF is completely open for you.

Rules

• Each contestant will be given a time limit of 8 minutes.
• The contestants are allowed to do anything like Stand-up comedy, Mimicry, mime, Impromptu or any other skill they wish to perform.
• This is strictly a Solo act competition.
• The language of act is strictly prohibited to English/Hindi.
• The contestants’ performances are scrutinized and are judged based upon the creativity, stage presence and interest shown in entertaining the crowd.
• Instrumental music is allowed but the participants will have to bring their own instruments.
• Microphones, lights and laptop to play sounds will be provided.
• Naked flames or live animals are not allowed on stage.
• Participants will have to bring their own music in CD/PD.
• The judges might ask the contestants to perform something on the spot to test their skills.
• The top three performances judged the jury gets to be the winners of the competition.

Judging Criteria

• Performance in acting: Dialogue Delivery, Expressions, Body Movements, etc.
• Originality
• Successfully depicting the plot or theme.
• Tightness with respect to time.

- Nukkad Natak Competition -

Sometimes when you are performing a play the audience don’t come to you, you have to go to them. Then this stage play act becomes a street play act. Generally, Street plays are done on social issues causing awareness among all classes of people. Do you think the society is messed up with the plethora of anti-social activities and do you want make the people understand that they are also equally responsible for these. Rules

• Group of maximum 22 members have to perform a Street Play of any genre.
• The maximum time permitted for each play is 30 minutes.
• Each group will be judged mainly on performance, script and various other aspects.
• Music accompanists are included in the team size stated above.
• Teams are expected to perform at the open air venue with audience on all sides.
• Only live music is allowed. Teams will have to bring their own instruments.
• Any vulgarity/obscenity will be strictly penalized and may lead to disqualification.
• Any kind of fluids, live animals, flame, heavy and sharp objects or any other harmful material is STRICTLY not allowed.
• Teams will be heavily penalised if they exceed the time limit.
• Logistics should be self-arranged.
• Each group will be judged mainly on performance, script and various other aspects.

- Stage Play Competition -

Are you interested in acting? Do you want to show off your acting skills? Do you want to entertain people with your play? Then, SPOT-LIGHT is the right choice for you. SPOT-LIGHT is a stage play competition in which you entertain the audience with your act and you get a chance to convey your thoughts, emotions and feelings.

Rules

• Group have to perform a Stage Play of any genre.
• Team Limit: 15 members + 3 CAs (for light and sound).
• The minimum time for stage play is 15 minutes and maximum time permitted for each play is 45 minutes.
• Language of the play can be Hindi/English. Mime is allowed.
• Pre-registration is necessary before the date of the event.
• Recorded vocals are not allowed, only music is allowed.
• The teams will have to bring their own music in CDs/PDs.
• No naked flames or live animals are allowed on stage.
• Sound and Lights will be arranged by the Organisation.
• No other logistics will be provided from the Organisation. The costumes and logistics must be self-arranged.
• Use of foul language or any obscenity will lead to immediate disqualification.
• In case of malfunctioning of any equipment provided, group will be allowed to repeat their performance from the last point of disruption. The decision will be as per judges’ direction for how to give grace time.
